NATURE ESCAPES PULIHARA ALAM DEMI MASA HADAPAN - [LEDANG CLIMBATHON 2024](https://johornationalparks.gov.my/ledang-climbathon-2024/) - 04 Mei 2024, TNJ Gunung Ledang (Lagenda) - Penganjuran kali kedua selepas 2023 dengan penambahan kategori baharu iaitu 21km telah menjadikan penganjuran tahun ini lebih meriah dengan penglibatan 700 orang peserta. Ledang Climbathon 2024 telah menarik minat para peserta dengan menyertai kategori 21km,14km dan 7km yang merangkumi peserta dari dalam dan luar negara. Penyertaan yang menggalakkan daripada luar negara seperti Brunei, Singapura, Jepun, United Kingdom, Thailand, Indonesia, Filipina, Nepal, Kazakhstan dan Vietnam. Pada majlis ini juga, PTNJ turut memperkenalkan lantikan Resident Scientist kepada Yang Berusaha Dr. A. Aldrie Amir daripada Institute for Environment and Development (LESTARA) Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Oleh yang demikian, satu tinjuan oleh sepasukan Pegawai PTNJ telah melawat dan melakukan kajian inventori bagi mengkaji kesiapsediaan Kawasan Taman Negara Johor Endau-Rompin (Peta) untuk beroperasi serta membuat perjumpaan bersama dengan komuniti di Kampung Peta. Hasil daripada siasatan pasukan tersebut mendapati bahawa buat masa kini, hanya Zon A sahaja yang dibenarkan dibuka kepada pelawat yang merangkumi kawasan Kompleks Pelawat, NERC, Kuala Jasin, Kuala Marong, Tasik Air Biru & Upeh Guling dengan kemasukan yang dikawal serta terhad bagi mengutamakan aspek keselamatan. Pihak PTNJ juga memohon agar semua pelawat yang hadir untuk sama-sama menjaga keselamatan sepanjang berada dalam Kawasan Taman Negara bagi mengelakkan perkara yang tidak diingini berlaku.
